“Most gulls don’t bother to learn more than the simplest facts of flight
– how to get from shore to food and back again.
For most gulls, it is not flying that matters, but eating.”
Jonathan Livingston Seagull

Feeding the seagulls on the Esplanade.
This was a book that transformed me. Thank you ☺ for kindling those wonderful memories

Nimi, so glad you enjoyed this post. I read the book recently again after first reading it when it came out in the 1970s. It was and is a great book.

I used to go to this fried fish palace north of Boston. The gulls would be very brazen, within an arm’s length, just hoping to be fed a french fry or two. I think Jonathan Livingston is on to something. 😉
